Bracknell Forest Innovation Fund open for applications

Local charities, community groups, voluntary sector or not-for-profit organisations are invited to submit ideas for projects that could have a big impact on the health and wellbeing of clinically extremely vulnerable (CEV) residents and those closest to them.

The impact of COVID-19 has been felt by everyone, but especially those who were considered CEV during the pandemic. These residents, their families and their carers may still be negatively affected, whether that is in their daily life or their health and wellbeing.

The council and Frimley Health and Care Integrated Care System are working together to offer local charities, community groups, voluntary sector and not-for-profit organisations the opportunity to bring their ideas to life through the Innovation Fund scheme.

Frimley Health and Care Integrated Care System established the Innovation Fund process to support the allocation of funding to local community ideas and projects. The council is supporting this with funding committed to addressing inequalities within local communities.

How to apply

The Bracknell Forest Innovation Fund is open for applications until midnight on Sunday 28 May 2023.

Abby Thomas, assistant director, chief executive’s office, said:

“We want to hear about your project, no matter how small. We are looking for community-led projects that will help residents who are still experiencing challenges from the pandemic.

“The Innovation Fund is a fantastic scheme that will help make a positive impact on the lives of CEV residents and those closest to them. We are prioritising projects that support this group to improve their health and wellbeing, social connectivity or community access. I look forward to seeing what our wonderful local community organisations come up with!”

Nicola Airey, NHS Frimley Integrated Care Board, place convenor for Bracknell Forest, said:

“The Innovation Fund is an excellent example of partnership working.  By working together with community groups, voluntary organisations and charities, we can harness their knowledge and experience to support their ideas and help bring about a better outcome for local people’s health and wellbeing.”
