PARKERSBURG — A senior economist at Redfin will be the keynote speaker at the Economic Roundtable of the Ohio Valley at noon Nov. 7 at the Blennerhassett Hotel in Parkersburg.
Chen Zhao will speak about “The U.S. Housing Market and the Current Interest Rate Cycle.”
Zhao leads the economics research team at Redfin and produces research on the housing market for public and internal audiences. Previously, Zhao held executive roles at the JPMorgan Chase Institute and Analysis Group.
She also has conducted economic research at the U.S. Census Bureau and started her career at the White House Council of Economic Advisers.
Zhao earned her doctorate in economics from Cornell University and her undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
