There is a lot of discussion on transitioning to a low-carbon global economy, but what does it mean for the investment required, and the role institutional investors and fiduciary managers can play?
Join us, along with our colleagues from Goldman Sachs Asset Management, for a session where we will discuss:
- How fiduciary duties of investors can drive behaviours
- How we get to low-carbon while strengthening economic growth
- Why this transition presents an enormous challenge, given the significant capital required to transform economies that have been reliant on an energy system that has been largely fossil-fuel based
- The close coordination between investors and asset managers, and the role of “active” delegation and monitoring of decisions
- Managing third-party expectations – members, sponsoring employers and activists
We will be joined by partners Clifford Sims and Chris Harper from our Pensions Practice, and Ed Francis and Cyprian Njamma from Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s Multi Asset team.
The roundtable discussion will take place at Goldman Sachs’ London offices and lunch will be provided. Registration and lunch from noon; the presentation will start at 12:30 p.m. We hope you can join us.
Spaces are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
