Isio partner Emily McGuire leads investment advisory team

Isio has promoted Emily McGuire to leader of its Investment Advisory team.

Since joining Isio as a partner in May 2022, a London-headquartered consulting firm specialised in services to the pensions sector, McGuire has played an important role in helping the company drive new business among pension funds and other institutional investors.

McGuire previously spent 24 years at Aon, latterly in the role of partner. She takes on the role from partner Nick Evans (also ex-Aon), who led the team for several years and is now turning his focus to client development and company-wide growth opportunities.

Formerly the pension practice of KPMG, Isio launched as an independent business in 2020. The firm, which earlier this year bought Deloitte’s 200-strong pensions advisory business, currently has over 1,000 staff working from 10 offices across the United Kingdom.

“We’ve seen incredible growth of 28% within our investment advisory business over the last financial year, so this is a really exciting time to be leading the team,” said McGuire.

On her ambitions, she added: “We remain focused on supporting clients to navigate the challenges following the LDI crisis and see the next few months as a huge opportunity to continue driving innovative solutions to achieve the best results for schemes and their members.”

Andrew Coles, Chief Executive of Isio, commented: “Emily has an impressive track-record and has been instrumental to our investment advisory team, especially in the market uncertainty of the last six months. This appointment marks the next step in our strategy to grow the business organically, driving better opportunities for our people and clients.”

In recent months, Isio welcomed Emma Hudson, Laura Higgins and Steve Robinson to its partnership.
