In the modern world, operating without an internet connection is incredibly difficult and leads to a huge amount of frustration.
It is increasingly common now in countries like the United States of America for applications and services to be completed completely online rather than on paper.
That is why the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) exists in the USA, to try and ensure that as many Americans as possible can get online, even if they are struggling financially.
What is the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)?
Qualifying for the ACP can be very helpful and those that have qualified will be eligible for a sizable discount towards a device that can help them get online.
Qualifying for the ACP means that you will receive a 100 dollar program discount which can be used towards any qualifying broadband device.
Just select the device in question and then enter the enrollment ID that is received when signing up for the APC.
The program is not a way to pay for calls and text messages, as it is exclusively for getting an internet connection in the home.
That being said, the unlimited talk, text and 30GB of a high-speed data calling SIM is allowed to be used with a compatible cell phone.
The main tablet which is on offer as part of the program is the Maze Speed tablet. Normally, buying one of these would cost 119 dollars but for those that have qualified for the APC it will be just 19 dollars.
How do you qualify for the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)?
To be eligible for the ACP, your income must be 200 percent or less than the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
You are also eligible for the ACP if you already participate in one of the following programs:
