Mortgages, protection and compliance firm Paradigm has launched a podcast designed to support and help member firms with a range of information and guidance.
The first Paradigm Podcast launched today (21st March), and included a look back at Paradigm’s International Women’s Day event, which took place on 8th March.
It included a review of the topics covered, including the challenges facing women in the mortgage and wider financial services’ market, the changes required, and the support available to women.
Taking part in the podcast were Riona Mulherin, director of marketing and operations, Aimee Carnwath, marketing coordinator, and Melissa Lackenby, event manager (mortgage and protect).
The three discussed how the mortgage market might encourage more women into the sector beyond the traditional adviser and lender employment roles, how mentoring and apprenticeships might help more women into the industry, and how the sector must continue to tackle the gender pay gap.
Future podcasts will cover issues around Mental Health Week, International Men’s Day, Social Mobility, Black History Month, and more.
Paradigm member firms can listen to the ‘Paradigm Podcast’ through Spotify or wherever they get their podcasts from.
Mulherin said: “We’re very pleased to be able to launch our new ‘Paradigm Podcast’ today in which various members of Paradigm staff plus some of our wider stakeholders will be giving their views on a range of topics.
“These are short but sweet podcasts which members can listen to, and which aim to provide insight, guidance and signposting not just to the resources Paradigm can offer, but also right across the industry.
“This first podcast looks specifically at women within the mortgage market, how we can encourage more to follow this path, how we can support them, and what we can all do to secure greater gender parity and also close that gender pay gap.
“It was certainly fun and interesting to record, and I hope our members feel the value when they listen to it.
“There will be more ‘Paradigm Podcasts’ throughout the year to enjoy.”
