Santander’s chief customer officer for homes Tracie Pearce (pictured) has left the business, Mortgage Solutions understands.
Pearce joined the bank in 2021 with a remit to support customers in “all aspects of financing their homes” and to spearhead the “strategic development, digital transformation and innovation” of the firm’s UK mortgage business.
In addition, at the time of her appointment, she also took on the role of regional business for home across Europe to improve the customer experience in the bank’s European markets.
Prior to Santander, Pearce worked at HSBC for around six years, most recently as director of retail banking. Other senior roles she held during her tenure were head of banking and propositions and head of mortgages.
Before that she worked at Nationwide for nearly eight years, initially joining as head of mortgages for specialist lending and then taking on the role of head of mortgage products and head of savings respectively.
She was previously head of products at Portman Building Society for around two years and prior to that was head of operations at The Mortgage Works.
Pearce has also held several non-executive director roles at the likes of B&Q Financial Services, HSBC Finance, John Lewis and HSBC Life.
In a statement to this publication, a spokesperson said: “After two and a half years delivering some excellent results for Santander’s homes business, Tracie decided now is the right time to look for new opportunities.
“She left the bank at the end of September with the best wishes of all at Santander.”
