A study from USA Today shows nine in 10 Americans have encountered junk fees at some point in their lives.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Those dreaded junk fees — we know how frustrating they can be and how they can often ruin a purchasing experience. 

A study from USA Today shows nine in 10 Americans have encountered them at some point in their lives. 

And in a time where everyone is asking where’s the money, WCNC Charlotte is sharing some of the junk fees Americans hate the most.

According to a report by USA Today, 93% of Americans said they’ve paid junk fees and 83% said they’ve decided not to buy something after encountering a junk fee.

USA Today said most Americans will come across junk fees when they’re shopping online, as with food delivery and concert tickets. 

But which fees frustrate Americans the most?

According to USA Today, people seem to hate convenience, service, and delivery fees the most.

They say convenience fees were also the most confusing type of junk fee, with 11.3% of people saying they understand it the least.
