A US Bank customer has revealed his account was suddenly closed and his money mailed to a complete stranger.
The bank’s explanation completely dumbfounded the client, as he realized he was a victim of fraud.
A US Bank customer has taken to TikTok to reveal his struggle after the bank mysteriously closed his account and mailed his money to a complete stranger.
As he (@kaosleader001) explained in a video, he discovered his account had been shut down when he opened the mobile app and noticed it had “completely dissappeared.”
Upon contacting the bank, things got very strange.
The customer found out that someone had called and told the bank that he had died.
To make matters worse, US Bank sent a check with his remaining money to a complete stranger.
“They sent a check to somebody who… I don’t know where they sent the check!” he said.
The TikToker said he had visited different branch offices and contacted US Bank on social media to try and resolve the issue, but with no luck.
“I don’t have a dime to my name where I can go out and pay for anything,” he explained.
“My bills are coming up, bills I’ve go to pay, it’s absolutely insane right now.”
“US Bank refuses to give me my money back or open my acccount back up,” the customer emphasized.
He also added that he still had his mortgage and car loan open with bank, of which he has been a customer for 20 years.
The U.S. Sun has contacted US Bank for comment.
WHAT TO DO IF YOUR ACCOUNT GETS CLOSED

You can contact the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), which is responsible for consumer protection in the financial sector.
Another option is to file a complaint with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).
The OCC plays a big role in bank supervision and directly regulates and audits the major national banks like Wells Fargo, Chase, and Bank of America.
