The Traitors winner Harry Clark has promised to share some of his prize money with runner-up Mollie Pearce.

The 23-year-old army engineer took home the whole prize pot in Friday’s explosive final, with the model left heartbroken after finding out he was lying to her from the start.

Mollie nearly voted for Harry to be kicked off the show in a tense final, but she couldn’t bring herself to betray her friend, instead banishing Jaz at the last second.

It meant she left the castle empty handed, but thankfully Harry has made a peace offering after chatting not long after the finale was filmed last year.

‘He promised me a holiday, and I’m pretty happy with that,’ she said on BBC Breakfast over the weekend.

‘It was a game and at the end of the day, we all sign up for it. You go in with the chance of getting hurt so it’s all good vibes here.’

She’s not got her holiday just yet though, as Harry has since revealed he only received the huge payday on his way to another TV interview on Monday.

Appearing on ITV’s This Morning, it was explained that the victors on gameshows like that typically don’t get their winnings until the show programme has aired.

‘I literally got the money on the way here,’ he revealed to hosts Rylan Clark and Rochelle Humes.

Harry, whose girlfriend is CBBC presenter Anna Maynard, also rubbished suggestions of romantic feelings between himself and Mollie, insisting they’re just close friends.

‘There’s no romance involved. I’ve got an amazing girlfriend who I love dearly, so has she! She’s got an amazing boyfriend who I have met, he’s a legend,’ he explained.

‘So I feel a little bit sorry for them. We’re just two young people who built a genuine connection. I know more about her boyfriend than I do about Molly! She knows more about my girlfriend than she does about me! That’s how we connected!’

Thankfully, their friendship has withstood the way The Traitors ended, with Mollie keen to make sure he knew she understood the nature of the game.

‘That shows our bond because when it finished, she was still worried about me and didn’t want me to feel like she hated me,’ he said.

He recalled her saying: ‘I love and hate you at the same time.’

‘I wouldn’t blame her if she still hated me now,’ he candidly admitted.

With a huge prize pot now in his account, Harry has also confessed he never had any intention of splitting the money by letting fellow traitor Andrew make it to the end of the game by his side.

‘Nah. It sounds so bad and greedy, but to me, I thought, I’ve got this opportunity to win it, it’s in the bag,’ he explained. ‘The game’s called The Traitors!’

How much is The Traitors prize money?

In the UK, The Traitors winnings stand at a maximum of £120,000.

The money is built up throughout the game by daily challenges which give the contestants the opportunity to add to the prize pot.

This year, Harry took home £95,000.

The Traitors is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
