Manchester United takeover: Qatar planning ‘incredible mega-money’ bid for Red Devils ownership to help Erik ten Hag
Manchester United are set to receive an “incredible mega-money” bid from Qatari investors “in the coming days”, according to reports.
United’s owners, the Glazer family, are willing to sell the club and reports towards the end of 2022 said they are looking for at least £6 billion.

‘I’m not here for regulations’ – Ten Hag refuses to comment on Man City’s alleged financial breaches

A deadline of mid-February has been set by the Glazers, who have been in charge of United since 2005.
Football regulations state one entity cannot own two clubs in the same competition which would be an issue if Qatar Sports Investments are behind the bid for United, as they currently own Paris-Saint Germain.
On paper, United and PSG could meet in the Champions League or Europa League.
However, according to the report, the Red Devils bid would come from individual investors, who want to give Erik ten Hag the money to buy the world’s best players.
On the field, United have had their strongest season for some time, with the club in the final of the League Cup against Newcastle at the end of this month.
They have a last 32 Europa League tie against Barcelona to look forward to and are in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Ten Hag’s side are also third in the Premier League, eight points behind leaders Arsenal, and face Leeds United on Wednesday.
