The TikToker, who also regularly posts money-saving content to her Instagram account, said: “I basically want to save money by doing as little as possible. When it comes to food, it’s so easy to spend and get carried away.

“Here are three easy ways to save money on food by putting practically no extra effort.”

Loyalty cards

“You can save money on products, collect points and use coupons without putting in any extra effort,” Kathryn said.

“It’s so easy to save money on food when you take full advantage of the deals and extra benefits of a supermarket loyalty card.”

Meal prep

“Meal prepping means you only need to cook once or twice a week and the food is then just ready for you to eat,” Kathryn added.

“It takes a little bit of initial effort, but then you have a whole weeks’ worth of meals ready for you, saving you so much time and money.”

Eat out less

“I know we all love going out to nice places for food, and I’m not saying we need to stop doing this completely,” Kathryn said.

“But by eating out less you could save SO much money. Try to cut back on eating out and just budget for it every now and then instead.”
