Tony, 40, was one of two new entries, alongside former Celebrity Big Brother star Frankie Dettori, 52.

As part of the entry twist, the celebrities were split into two groups as Frankie entered the main camp and Tony was the leader of Snake Rock.

As the two groups settled into their new surroundings, Tony opened up about his career where he made a surprising confession about his victories over top rival David Haye.

Inquisitive as ever, This Morning presenter Josie Gibson asked the star what his favourite fight was.

“Goodison park when I won the world title,” replied Tony.

“I mean, I achieved my lifelong dream that night. All my dreams came true. That was my main goal and focus in life.”

However, he then went onto confess that despite his victories and calls for him to retire, he felt like he couldn’t as he had to provide for wife Rachael Roberts and his family.

He explained: “We were in the kitchen and my missus said, ‘That it now then, that’s you done?’

“And I believe that a man should go out and provide for his family, probably everyone doesn’t agree with this or like it anymore.”

The boxer then admitted that he had no choice because the couple still had a large mortgage to pay.

“I go out and work and I try to give them the best I can,” he stated.

“She said, ‘What do you mean?’ I said, ‘We’re so far away from financial security.’ We were basically f***ing skint.”

A surprised Josie was left with her jaw on the floor as Tony explained: “I had a big, heavy, heavy mortgage. I shouldn’t say skint, but I was living on fight to fight.”

“I defended my world title and I made okay money.”

However, he still feels proud of his fights rival David Haye, but he did make a surprising concession in his rival’s favour.

Tony commented: “Me and David get on these days. I’ve fought David twice and beaten him twice, but he’s a far better fighter than me.”
