B&M shoppers go wild for ‘best’ new Maltesers flavour never seen on UK shelves before

SHOPPERS are rushing to B&M to get their hands on a brand new Maltesers flavour which has been spotted on shop shelves.

The Black Forest Gateau Maltesers were found in B&M stores for £2.99 per 150g pack.

The treats inspired by the classic German dessert have a crisp malt centre covered in dark chocolate as opposed to traditional milk chocolate and it carries flavours of cherry and sponge cake.

The new Maltersers flavour was first launched exclusively in Australia in July last year.

The news was shared on the @treatsinstore Instagram page.

The account said: “Maltesers Black Forest Gateau, £2.99. Out now in B&M stores. Imported from Australia!”

Shoppers said they couldn’t wait to try the chocolates with many stating the foreign chocolates tasted better.

One user said: “I’m here for every flavour of Maltesers!”

Another said: “They have the best Maltesers and M&Ms in Australia.”

“I need,” said a third user.

“Wow,” said a fourth user.

These chocolates haven’t been spotted in any other UK stores.

If you wanted to get a hold of them without heading into a B&M you would need to turn to an Australian food importer like The Australian Food Shop or International Food.

Bear in mind that prices on these sites start from around £8 without shipping.

It seems Australian chocolates have proved popular with UK shoppers in recent months.

B&M shoppers went wild for Cadbury’s Honeycomb Sundae Twirls after they were spotted in B&M, previously only available in Australia.

Likewise, the Cadbury Dairy Milk Slices Vanilla Passionfruit was a huge hit when it was spotted on shop shelves.

The same cannot be said about the American flavours that have found their way onto our shores.

Shoppers were left divided when Hershey’s Kisses were spotted in B&M stores last week.
