It singled out the more than a dozen councils that have declared bankruptcy, or are on the verge of doing so, as likely to be particularly impacted by the plot.
Mr Prashar, 40, who also worked as press secretary for Boris Johnson during his 2008 and 2012 London mayoral election campaigns, accused taxpayers of “funding genocide” and backed a campaign for a mass tax avoidance.
He said: “UK taxpayers have paid for Israel to kill babies, children, mothers, fathers and grandparents, there’s no two ways around it. It was British tax money that did that, that sent those bombs to Israel to kill indiscriminately,” he added in a separate statement.
The 40-year-old political strategist also worked in the press office for Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign and lives in New York City.
It comes as pro-Palestine protesters stage back-to-back weekend action in London and the Home Office’s extremism tsar warns the capital is becoming “a no-go zone for Jews”.
According to a “team of experts” at the group, taxpayers can also protest in a more creative way by withholding money from HMRC. It said they must send a formal declaration to the taxman in writing that they are stopping paying tax.
Supporters should also send a “meticulously drafted” deed of trust, written by the group, laying out the conditions under which the Government may reclaim the unpaid tax, it claims.
Campaigners cite various international human rights laws to argue that paying tax in the UK is currently illegal, including the 1945 UN Charter and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. It is also argued that 1861 Accessories and Abettors Act, which criminalises anyone who assists an “indictable offence” are grounds for the boycott.
The UN has told Israel not to commit acts of genocide in Gaza, but the country has not been found by any court to have done so in its ongoing offensive in response to the Hamas attacks in October.
