NORTH WALES PA – State and local legislators who represent western Montgomery County, and who were among advocates helping to ensure Pennsylvania’s 2022-2023 budget included $640 million for investments in conservation, clean water, parks, and recreation, recently were honored by Natural Lands and other land conservation organizations.
Those being recognized (at top) during “Growing Greener 3” ceremonies at Gwynedd Preserve in North Wales PA were:
- Rep. Tracy Pennycuick, whose 147th District includes all or parts of West and Upper Pottsgrove, Douglass, New Hanover, Upper and Lower Frederick, Upper and Lower Salford, Green Lane, and Schwenksville;
- State Rep. Joe Webster, 150th District, including all or parts of Skippack, Upper Providence, Trappe, and Collegeville;
- Rep. Steve Malagari, 53rd District, including part of Salford;
- State Sen. Bob Mensch, 24th District, including all or parts of Pottstown, West and Upper Pottsgrove, Douglass, New Hanover, Upper Hanover, Upper and Lower Frederick, Salford, Upper and Lower Salford, Perkiomen, Skippack, East Greenville, Pennsburg, Red Hill, Green Lane, Schwenksville, and Trappe;
- Montgomery County Commissioners’ Chair Valerie Arkoosh;
- as well as Reps. Liz Hanbridge, 61st District; Mary Jo Daley, 148th District; Todd Stephens, 151st District; Nancy Guenst, 152nd District; and Napoleon Nelson, 154th District.
Joining Natural Lands in the event were conservation organizations Legacy Land and Water Partners, Neighborhood Gardens Trust, Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust, and Wissahickon Trails.
