Five funds to watch for 2024: 5 top funds to watch
In this video, Emma Wall, HL’s Head of Investment Analysis and Research, speaks directly to the camera.
Emma: Have you seen our Five Funds to watch for 2024?
If so, you may be wondering how we chose just five funds from the thousands available on the market.
We now see Emma walking through the HL office. We also see behind-the-scenes shots of Emma speaking in the
studio.
Emma: Our selection process is rigorous and involves some serious research carried out by the experts in the
HL fund research team.
As Emma outlines the selection process for the five funds to watch in 2024, we see HL’s Fund Research Team
at work. We see members of the team working at their computers, viewing and discussing something on a
computer screen, as well as having a team meeting in the office.
Emma: We focus on key areas which help identify funds our analysis indicates have the greatest performance
potential, including:
The fund manager, their experience and the research, resource and support backing them up.
The fund managers’ selection process when it comes to stocks and bonds, looking to see how consistent it is
through different market conditions.
The culture behind the scenes of the fund. In other words, how the fund managers and their teams operate.
We’ll look, of course, at performance and the value added for investors after charges.
And, for this year’s funds to watch, our senior analysts have considered the potential trends for the year
ahead, and which funds they believe have performance potential over at least the next five years.
To find out what we’ve come up with at the end of all that research, read our Five Funds to Watch in 2024.
After Emma finishes speaking, the following important information appears on screen:
