Aston Villa trying to offload Calum Chambers in January transfer as Unai Emery looks to raise funds
ASTON VILLA are trying to offload Calum Chambers in the January transfer window, according to reports.
Cambers, 28, joined the Villans on a free transfer from Arsenal last January.
However, he has played 18 times for Villa with seven of those appearances coming this season.
The three-cap England defender has spent most of this season manning the substitutes bench.
And so boss Unai Emery will try and offload Chambers in a bid to raise funds, according to the Mirror.
Villa have already sanctioned the sale of Danny Ings to West Ham.
The 30-year-old joined the East London club on a two-year deal, with Villa picking up a £15million fee.
Villa have brought in two new faces of their own and Emery would like some more.
He has already signed striker Jhon Duran and left-back Alex Moreno.
But the report goes on to state that Emery is a fan of Lyon’s Moussa Dembele and Marseille midfielder Matteo Guendouzi.

Dembele has experience playing in England, making 64 appearances for Fulham in his younger years.
While Guendouzi is a player Emery knows well from their time at Arsenal together.
