Simply Asset Finance has been named in the Top 20 of the FT1000’s list of Europe’s fastest-growing financial services businesses. It is the second year running the business has been recognised in the list, this year also being named in the top 12 of the UK’s fastest-growing financial services businesses.

During 2022, its fifth year of trading, Simply Asset Finance grew its loan book by 36%. This was largely due to its commitment to staying open and supporting small businesses through the pandemic. This growth milestone was quickly followed by the business surpassing the £1bn lending, having funded over 27,600 assets for businesses across the UK.

Mike Randall, CEO of Simply Asset Finance, said: “This achievement is once again testament to our commitment to our customers, the strength of our team, and the seamless customer experience we have built within our business. As the FT1000 is based on compound growth, it’s a difficult feat to be recognised two years in a row, so we’re incredibly humbled to be listed once again.

“As businesses across the country continue to face difficulties accessing finance through traditional providers, we strive to support firms with our data-led approach. Whether operating in transport, manufacturing, agriculture or construction – our approach ensures firms can access the funds they need to purchase the assets they need to grow.”

Founded by a team of specialist asset finance experts in response to the complex nature of the SME financing process, and low loan approval rates in the UK, the firm has now grown to a team of 127 members which have served over 6,000 customers so far. Its solution combines a streamlined customer experience and application process enabled by technology, with its strong team of experts and broker partners across the UK to ensure its customers receive a seamless funding experience.

The FT1000 list is a joint venture between the Financial Times and research provider Statista, and tracks the 1,000 fastest-growing businesses in Europe. This years’ FT1000 ranking has seen 356 of the companies featured last year ranked again this year, with 125 having been in the list for three consecutive years.
