The 10th Session of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) Conference of the State Parties (COSP) will be held in Atlanta, USA on 11-15 December 2023. The conference gathers global leaders to advance the implementation of the Convention and set a common vision for the future anti-corruption work.
The UNCAC calls for “transparency in the funding of candidatures for elected public office and political parties”. Strong political finance rules protect elections and prevent state capture. In order to highlight the importance of political finance transparency, International IDEA and partner organizations will organize a special event on the margins of the UNCAC COSP 10. The event will examine the work of political finance oversight institutions, CSO good practices, and how states can meet relevant challenges.
