Our client is seeking a High-Performance Compute (HPC)/AI Performance Engineer to play a pivotal role in optimizing the performance of their most critical workloads. In this dynamic position, you’ll apply your broad engineering expertise across infrastructure, tools, and applications, ensuring that their high-performance applications are as efficient as possible. As a Senior HPC/AI Performance Engineer, you will:
- Investigate and measure the performance of AI and high-performance compute workloads.
- Optimize the performance of these workloads by designing and implementing solutions across infrastructure, tools, and application code.
- Continuously track workload performance and identify areas for long-term investments and improvements.
- Collaborate closely with users and platform engineers to align with workload priorities and execute suggested plans effectively.
- Drive performance improvement initiatives.
Successful candidates for this role will possess:
- 3+ years of experience in HPC/AI performance optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to optimize complex workloads across multiple software stacks.
- Expert-level programming skills in a high-performance language, preferably C or C++.
- Proficiency with AI frameworks (PyTorch, TF, MXNet, etc.) and accelerated programming stacks (CUDA, MPI, AVX, or similar).
- A quantitative/data-oriented mindset.
- Exceptional communication skills to convey technical ideas to diverse stakeholders.
- A proven track record of leading complex projects from end to end.
In return for your expertise and dedication, our client is offering:
- An annual base salary range of $200,000 to $300,000, with potential for additional bonuses based on skills and experience.
