Boeing CEO to step down, EU targets Apple, Alphabet, and Meta, Yahoo Finance launches Wealth!
Boeing (BA) announced a significant management shakeup this morning. The company says CEO Dave Calhoun will step down at the end of 2024, Chairman of the Board Larry Kellner will also step down in May, and Boeing Commercial Airplanes CEO Stan Deal will step down immediately. The shakeup comes amid tense times for the company following a series of issues, including a door plug blowing out mid-flight on an Alaska Airlines (ALK) flight in January. The EU has formally launched probes into tech giants Apple (AAPL), Meta (META), and Alphabet (GOOGL, GOOG) under the new Digital Markets Act. The investigations center around several things, including Apple’s App Store, Google’s Play Store, and Meta’s ad-free subscription model.
