New Delhi: The first Ministerial meeting of the India-EU Trade and Technology Council (TTC) is scheduled to be held in Brussels on 16 May. The meeting will be co-chaired by external affairs minister S Jaishankar, commerce and minister Piyush Goyal and communications and IT minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said in a statement.

The TTC was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen during the latter’s visit to India in April last year, it said.

According to the statement, both sides have maintained continuous engagement within working groups at various levels, and meetings of the three working groups have taken place, leading up to the ministerial meeting in Brussels.
