Haiti – Economy : The Haiti Invest project mobilized US$31 million

Ronald Gabriel, the Governor of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) closed last week the Haiti Invest project launched in 2019 with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) https://www.icihaiti.com/article-27774-icihaiti-economie-lancement-du-projet-haiti-invest-pour-stimuler-les-investments.html. This project aimed to stimulate private investment in Haiti and facilitate the financing of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
This project has enabled the creation of nearly 1,100 jobs in 5 years and supported 20 companies in different areas: manufacturing, consumption of local products, renewable energies and finance among others and mobilized $31 million.
In his speech, Governor Ronald Gabriel declared “The objectives of the Haпti-Invest project harmoniously complement those of the pro-growth programs established by the BRH. Today, at the end of this project, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to all those who contributed both to the financing, to the technical assistance and to the success of this project, despite the challenges that you have met everyone.”
During the project closing ceremony, Gabriel Ronald congratulated USAID and other project partners for their significant contribution to financial inclusion and entrepreneur education.
