NEW YORK, July 30 (Bernama-Xinhua) — The US dollar increased in late trading on Monday, reported Xinhua.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, went up 0.24 per cent to 104.562 at 3:00 pm. (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro declined to US$1.0822 from US$1.0857 in the previous session, and the British pound was down to US$1.2864 from US$1.2872 in the previous session.
The US dollar bought 153.98 Japanese yen, higher than 153.73 Japanese yen of the previous session. The US dollar advanced to 0.8863 Swiss francs from 0.8836 Swiss francs, and it added to 1.3852 Canadian dollars from 1.3838 Canadian dollars. The US dollar climbed to 10.8267 Swedish kronor from 10.8254 Swedish kronor.
