West Bank Mosque Hit After Aid Trucks Enter Gaza

Israeli aircraft struck a mosque compound in the West Bank and intensified its assaults in Gaza, a day after aid trucks crossed into the strip from Egypt to bring in supplies for the first time since the Oct. 7 attacks.

Hospital blast: A Wall Street Journal video analysis using security cameras and live feeds inside Israel and Gaza shows how a failed rocket caused the deadly explosion at Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City.

Aid: On Sunday night, a convoy of 14 trucks from Egypt delivered food, water and medicine into Gaza, in the second delivery since the war started.

Hostages: Family members of two U.S. citizens released after being held hostage by Hamas said they experienced “extraordinary relief” but added that eight other relatives remain in Gaza.

Casualties: More than 1,400 people in Israel have died since the Hamas assault began. Hamas officials said the Palestinian death toll was more than 4,600, though U.S. officials and experts have disputed that number.

Ground Invasion: U.S. and European governments are pressing Israel to hold off on its ground invasion of Gaza to allow time for more hostage releases.

U.S. Response: Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said the U.S. is concerned about further attacks on its forces in the Middle East after several attacks last week. In addition, the State Department, on Friday, ordered nonemergency personnel to leave the U.S. embassy in Iraq.
