TSB mobile banking app down as customers report major account lockout

TSB customers have reported issues with their mobile banking apps this morning, with the service seemingly suffering an outage. DownDectector says that more than 2,500 users took issue with their app this morning, and are unable to access their accounts as a result.

And a number of frustrated customers took to social media to vent frustrations of trying to access the app ‘for hours’ to no avail. Meanwhile, others reported issues with banking app services last night.

Taking to X, one person wrote: “@TSB tsb banking completely not working app and online always last day of every month complete joke,” while a second added: “@TSB mobile app is not working AGAIN.” A third went on: “@TSB hi cannot access my TSB app or online banking. App is saying ‘we weren’t able to do that’ online is saying ‘sorry, we are currently experiencing technical issues. Please try later’. When will this be fixed as I need to access my account.”

The Mirror reports that another user asked the bank if their app ‘ever worked’ while a fifth complained: “Why does it always happen on the day you’ve got loads of bills to pay.” Another customer fumed: “Come on @TSB! I need the app today you close all the branches down and still cant allow us to use the app! What are you expecting people to do exactly??”

Some customers have said that they receive an error message when trying to log in, while others have complained that the app just isn’t allowing them to access their accounts. Meanwhile, some customers have said that they can’t get past the ‘fingerprint’ stage of logging in.

At the time of writing, the banking chain said their internet and mobile banking services were ‘Intermittent,’ with the TSB website reading: “We’re aware that customers are experiencing issues with our digital services. We’re sorry for any inconvenience and are working hard to resolve it.”

TSB has not officially made a comment on the issue as of yet.
