The Greater Manchester bank branches set to close this year

Six bank branches around Greater Manchester are set to close this year with some being the last branches available in their respective areas. Around 250 banks are set to close, or have already shut, as financial services continue to be stripped away from UK high streets.

Twelve major banks alone closed in January with 38 more scheduled to shut by the end of this month.

It has also been announced a 15 further banks will close in 2025. The closure of 89 branches will leave some communities without an alternative branch and it suspected this trend will continue.
