Police have released an image of a man in connection with a stolen card used at a petrol station.

At around 1.30pm on Monday June 5 officers say a man felt poorly whilst in Queens Park Bolton and was helped by passers-by.

The man reportedly received messages from his bank, showing his card was used, and his wallet was missing.

Police say that CCTV shows an unknown male allegedly using the victim’s card at a petrol station on Chorley Old Road at 4.50pm.

Officers are now seeking more information from the public, and asking anyone who recognises the man pictured to get in touch.

A spokesperson for Bolton North Police said: “On Monday June 5 2023 at around 1.30pm, a man was walking in Queens Park Bolton when he felt poorly, and was helped by passers-by.

“Later that day he received text messages from his bank showing his bank card had been used and realised his wallet had gone, which contained bank cards and a large amount of cash.

“CCTV showed an unknown male apparently using the victim’s card at a Shell Petrol station on Chorley Old Road, Bolton at 4.50pm.

“Police would like to speak to this male in connection with the incident.

“If anyone recognises the man pictured, please contact police on 101, quoting the log number CRI/06KK/0017155/23.”
