The Philadelphia Phillies are among the best in Major League Baseball.
This isn’t about Trea Tuner, Bryce Harper or Aaron Nola, but it’s the Phillies’ off-the-field team that creates the food at Citizen Bank Park that is getting some well-deserved attention.
Citizens Bank Park was ranked one of USA Today’s 10 best MLB stadiums for food, coming in fourth on the list.
Here’s what the review said:
“With an emphasis on iconic Philadelphia flavors and local culinary traditions, Citizens Bank Park showcases the city’s most beloved dishes. Phillies fans can enjoy classic favorites such as cheesesteaks and soft pretzels, as well as gourmet burgers, specialty sausages, loaded fries, and local craft beers. Local favorites include Chickie’s & Pete’s Crabfries, Manco & Manco boardwalk-style pizza, and Federal Donuts (don’t miss the fried chicken).”
Which MLB Stadium is No. 1 for food?
Sadly, the hated New York Mets and Citi Field came in first. The review highlighted the Bases Loaded Burger from Shake Shack and other food items that represent the city’s identity.
American Family Field in Milwaukee finished second with its cheese curds, beer cheese soup, beer-battered walleye, taco bar and Friday fish fry.
Finishing ahead of the Citizens Bank Park was Baltimore’s Camden Yards with its beef pit sandwiches, crab cakes in egg roll form and gourmet hot dogs.
