To support North West-based Alcedo Care’s future growth, its marketing team has been strengthened with a trio of appointments – Andrew Cara as Graphic Design Manager, plus Regina Copado and Jialin Zhou as Digital Marketing Managers.
Andrew, from Southport, worked at Design Production and Installation for almost 20 years specialising in events, exhibitions and signage before joining Alcedo.
Regina, who is originally from Spain but currently living in Manchester, has worked in digital marketing with companies across the globe. At Alcedo she will be tasked with developing and implementing marketing strategies for the group, ensuring brand values reach as many people as possible.
Jialin, from Wirral, who previously worked in high technology and clinical research industries, joins Alcedo Care to develop its digital marketing strategies and deliver campaigns for the company’s Live-In Care division.

Manchester-based global womenswear and lifestyle brand, Club L London, has announced Richard Wing as its new Chief Financial Officer.
Richard brings extensive experience from leading e-commerce brands in the North West, including AO World, Missguided, and The Hut Group, where he played a pivotal role during periods of exceptional growth and change.
He said: “My mission at Club L London is to drive sustainable and profitable growth. I am driven by innovation and excited about our upcoming initiatives, which will not only drive our growth but also solidify Club L London’s position as the leading affordable luxury fashion house. Business and financial advisory firm, Grant Thornton UK, has promoted tax specialist Ian Rowland to Partner.
Based in Grant Thornton’s Manchester office, Ian has more than 20 years of experience working with businesses undertaking research and development (R&D) across all sectors and will continue to support a range of clients of all sizes, with a particular focus on fast growing, dynamic businesses in the mid-market.

Capify, a Manchester-based SME lender, has appointed Jamie Stewart as Director of Strategic Initiatives.
Jamie, the founder and former MD of Think Business Loans, brings extensive experience and SME expertise to Capify. In his role at Think, he successfully oversaw the deployment of more than £1bn in funding to more than 10,000 customers, prior to its sale to Bionic in 2019. Since then, Jamie set up Anidea, a Strategic Consultancy firm.
His arrival marks another milestone during a significant growth phase for Capify. Having leveraged a new £100m credit line from Pollen Street Capital earlier this year, the company has made a succession of senior team appointments recently and is actively developing an expanded product suite.

Triodos Bank UK, has appointed Tom Procter as Senior Relationship Manager for North West England, within the Wellbeing sector of the business banking team.
In this role, Tom will assist business owners who deliver support to the most vulnerable in society, contributing to Triodos’s growing positive social and environmental impact.
Tom has nearly 20 years’ experience in banking, with previous positions held at Barclays and Allica Bank. He said: “I’m excited for future opportunities at Triodos Bank and seeking to support businesses who deliver positive impact to society. Our doors are open for impact operators who are making changes for the better, whether that be in care, children’s nurseries or the wider wellbeing sector.”
Triodos’s recent business banking activity has included backing a number of care home operators in the North West, down to the Midlands, in the acquisition of further homes to grow their individual care offering to more of the most vulnerable in society.

LGT Wealth Management has made three new appointments to its Manchester office as part of its strategic regional growth.
Following the opening of its Manchester office in March, the team has been actively seeking opportunities for strategic growth. The three new members are Simon Reeks, Fahim Amdani, and Michael Waddington.
Simon is an investment manager with more than 30 years’ experience working with high-net-worth private clients, pension funds, corporations, family trusts and charities across the UK. Prior to joining LGT Wealth Management, Simon was most recently a Partner at Evelyn Partners and formerly Head of Private Clients at Midas Investment Management.
Fahim joins as a Wealth Manager from UBS, where he was a Director and prior to that held Private Banking roles at JP Morgan and Barclays. With 14 years’ financial services experience, he is experienced in advising high-net-worth families on their investments across all asset classes and on their multi-generational wealth structuring.
Michael joins the team as Office Manager after spending the past seven years with Evelyn Partners (formerly Tilney). With more than 40 years’ operational experience within the stockbroking and wealth management industry, Michael will be available to assist clients and build the client support team in Manchester.

Manchester and Liverpool commercial law firm Bermans has added two new partners to its growing team, employment partner Sarah Collier and litigation specialist Sarah Wellicome.
Sarah Collier brings more than 15 years’ experience in supporting SMEs with a full range of day-to-day employment advice ranging from redundancies, disciplinaries and grievances, as well as advising and supporting businesses on discrimination and sexual harassment matters, shareholder disputes, settlement agreements and in-house training. She will be based in the firm’s Manchester office as a partner in the employment team.
Sarah Wellicome is coming in to head the firm’s invoice and asset finance litigation team following the retirement of partner Andrew Henderson after 39 years with the firm.
Sarah, who will be based in the firm’s Manchester office, qualified in 2007 and previously headed up a busy litigation team dealing with property litigation on a range of high value and complex disputes for secured lenders and receivers in the High Court and through mediation and ADR.
Just last month the firm added Charlotte Mills as a partner in its corporate team from sister law firm, Jackson Lees. These latest appointments take the number of partners at the firm to 20.
