NatWest issues statement as app and online banking DOWN with thousands hit

NatWest bank says an issue with online banking and the app has been resolved after an outage that lasted hours this morning.

Thousands of customers were unable to log in to the major bank’s app and the website due to an issue. The problem was first reported on the Downdetector website at around 5.30am this morning.

Frustrated customers took to X, complaining on being unable to access their money or make payments. One user said: “@NatWest_Help unable to log on to online banking from website now! Just keeps saying safely logged out. I WANT TO LOG IN!”
