NatWest down updates — Bank confirms app and website ‘back working’ following outage that hit thousands

NatWest has updated customers this morning following an outage with their online banking services.
On the bank’s website it states that “some of our customers are experiencing issues with our Mobile App and Online Banking service.”
The bank has apologised and has assured customers that they are “working hard getting everything back up and running for you.”

“We are aware some customers are having issues with logging into the app and online banking,” the bank said on X.
“Our tech team are working hard to get it resolved asap.
“Apologies for any inconvenience caused by this and thank you for your patience.”
How to send money as outage continues
NatWest has shared some advice on how to make transactions amid today’s outage.
The company’s website reads: “If you need to complete a transaction you can continue to do this using our Telephone Banking service or alternatively you can visit one of our Branches or ATMs.
“If you are looking to make a payment with us today, please consider sending money another way. You can still use your debit or credit card to make payments and get cash from ATM’s, branches and the Post Office.”

Complaints of an outage peaked at around 3,700 but are now falling.
