Nvidia: Revenue at Nvidia is forecast to have soared 64 per cent in its last quarter as demand for its chips rises amid the artificial intelligence frenzy.
Peloton: Interactive fitness group Peloton is expected to post an earnings loss of 39 cents a share in the quarter to June, almost 90 per cent smaller than the same period last year, as it works to cut costs and boost sales while contending with lower post-lockdown demand.
Retailers: Discount retailer Kohl’s and beauty and personal care group Bath & Body Works will also report quarterly earnings, with both expected to have booked a fall in revenues.
Economic data: Economists project that US new home sales rose to 705,000 in July from 697,000 in June as a lack of available existing homes drives up demand for new residences. Separately, the S&P flash manufacturing and services purchasing managers’ indices are expected to show a slightly softer manufacturing slowdown in July compared with the previous month and a slight moderation in services sector growth.
