Full list of every bank holiday for 2024 revealed… and why you’ll get fewer days off than you did for the last three years
- There are two bank holidays left of this year – Christmas Day and Boxing Day
- Brits may be looking forward to which days off they get in 2024
With most of this year’s bank holidays having already passed us by, Brits may be looking ahead to what days they can get off in 2024.
The last remaining bank holidays of this year will be Christmas Day on December 25th and Boxing Day on December 26th.
After this, Brits won’t have to wait too long as the usual New Year’s Day bank holiday occurs under a week later.
As it stands, there will be eight bank holidays in 2024 – there were nine in 2023 and ten in 2022, which was a rare occurrence.
This year, Brits had an extra bank holiday for the King’s Coronation on May 8.
In 2022, there were two extra days to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June and her funeral in September.
As of yet, there are no extra bank holidays lined up for 2024, making it the fewest amount since 2021.
The first bank holiday of the year, as usual, will be New Year’s Day on January which falls on a Monday.
After that, Brits have a while to wait for the next one as there are no more in January and none in February.
Good Friday kicks off the Easter dates on March 29, shortly followed by Easter Monday on April 1.
There are none in April and the next one will be Monday May 6 which is the early May bank Holiday.
Just three weeks later Brits can enjoy the Spring bank holiday on Monday May 27.
There are none as of yet in June and July, with the next one being the Summer bank holiday which falls on Monday August 26.
Finally, Christmas Day and Boxing Day on December 25 and 26 are the last bank holidays of 2024.
