Deutsche Bank Names New Head Of WM Lending UK & Central Europe

The new senior hire, who has more than 23 years of experience across institutional, corporate and private banking, is joining from the Bank of Singapore.

has named Alexandre Lotfi (pictured) as
head of wealth management lending UK & Central Europe.


Lotfi will be a managing director based in London, reporting to
Adam Russ, global head of wealth management and business lending,
the firm said in a statement. He is replacing Claude
Casavant who was based in Geneva and has retired.


With more than 23 years of experience in risk management, Lotfi
joins from the Bank of Singapore, where he was the global chief
risk officer and chief executive of the Bank of Singapore
DIFC since 2016.


Previously, he spent more than seven years at Barclays in London
and Singapore. Before Barclays, he was a senior credit risk
manager at Natixis in London and Paris.


“The breadth of his financing experience across institutional,
corporate and private banking makes him a great addition as we
look to strengthen our position as a leading global bank for
ultra-high net worth clients and family entrepreneurs,” Russ
said.


“Financing remains a core strength of our private bank. The
combination of Deutsche Bank’s deep structuring and risk
management expertise, allow us to support our clients in
identifying opportunities and managing risk in the face of
current macro economic challenges,” Alessandro Caironi, head of
banking, lending and investment solutions at Deutsche Bank
Private Bank, added.


Deutsche Bank’s Private Bank serves more than 20 million clients
globally. These range from private clients and small and
medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium
and India, to wealth management clients from more than 80 offices
globally. At the end of 2023, the private bank had €599 billion
($639 billion) of assets under management.
