How Chase Bank promotions compare

Chase Bank’s current promotions tend to stack up well. Here’s how they compare to some other national institutions. In short, PNC is competitive, but Citi® and Wells Fargo offer much greater potential bonuses while Bank of America falls short.

Chase Bank review

JPMorgan Chase Bank opened in 1799 with headquarters in New York City. It’s now the country’s largest bank, with assets totaling $3.385 trillion, and operates nearly 4,900 branches in all of the 48 lower states.

Chase has earned a strong reputation among its customers. In the J.D. Power 2022 U.S. National Banking Satisfaction Study, Chase Bank earned the second-highest score of 678—right below Capital One, which scored 694.

The bank also earned high marks in the J.D. Power 2023 U.S. Retail Banking Satisfaction Study, which breaks down customer satisfaction within 15 regions across the U.S. Chase received the highest ranking in Florida, the Mid-Atlantic and the upper Midwest and above-average scores in nine other regions.

Chase Bank also comes in strong in the J.D. Power U.S. Small Business Banking Satisfaction Study, where it ranked fifth with a score of 680.

However, Chase Bank isn’t the best option if you’re focused on earning interest on your funds. Large brick-and-mortar banks often charge monthly account fees and pay very little on their savings and checking accounts — and Chase is no exception.

If you’re looking for high-yield savings accounts and CDs along with no-fee checking, consider checking out the best online banks.
