Barclays Bank’s application is currently facing an outage with users unable to make online payments. The financial institution based out of London informed on its official website about the issues with its Barclaycard app and Barclays app. Due to the massive outage in Barclays Bank’s apps on the weekend, several services including online, telephone banking, and payments/transfers are down.
“We’re sorry if you’re having trouble logging in – we’re working to fix this,” Barclays said on its official website acknowledging that its services were affected by the outage.
The bank has reassured its customers whose payment status is not reflected on the app. The customers are expected to wait at least four hours as Barclays is trying to resolve the outage. “If you’ve attempted to make a payment, please check after 4 hours before trying again,” the bank added.
According to the reports by the online outage tracker, Downdetector, user complaints about issues with Barkclays’ Mobile, Online Banking, and Fund Transfers peaked at around 1:00 am, per local time. Most of the users who flagged issues were reportedly from Manchester and nearby areas, basis the data provided by sitedown.uk.
“We’re sorry if you’re getting an error message when making payments in our app or Online Banking,” the Barclays latest status info read.
