This day was established as a federal holiday in 1938 by the US Congress, which means that various government institutions and offices will remain closed on July 4. But what about the banks?

As it is a national holiday, public and private banking institutions will not offer services on July 4th. Among the main banks that have confirmed the suspension of activities during the Fourth of July include Bank Of America, Citi, Wells Fargo, and JP Morgan.

Although branches will be closed, ATMs and mobile banking will operate as normal, so you can still carry out essential operations on this day.
