Immigrant who ‘doesn’t like to work because it gives him allergies’ brags about living off US taxpayers
An influencer migrant who “doesn’t like to work because it gives him allergies” has urged his 300,00 followers to beg for money instead of getting a job.
Leonel Moreno, a Venezuelan migrant, bragged in a video online that he survives by living off of US taxpayers’ money.
Moreno, who arrived in the US in September, said that he once made $275 from “three hours [of] asking for money at traffic lights”.
His content revolves around his lifestyle in America and how he earns an income by living off of money handed out by the government.

In another video posted on February 21, Moreno explained his intention behind migrating to the United States, stating: “You came to the United States to work, and I came to vacation, look at the difference. You and I didn’t come with the same purpose. You came to the United States to pay the taxes that you didn’t pay in Venezuela.”
Later that day, he posted another clip online, admitting: “I confess that I don’t like to work because it gives me allergies. You work, I don’t, but in the end, neither of us have money. They keep criticising us because I live off of taxes that you pay monthly.”
Manhattan Institute fellow and Venezuelan native, Daniel Di Martino, told The New York Post: “Americans should be outraged to see how someone can come… and abuse the laws and benefits of America.
“Sadly, he’s just one of many who are ripping off the taxpayer because of our own badly written laws that allow them to collect some welfare and take years to decide asylum cases that likely will be denied.”
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Councilman Joseph Borelli reacted to Moreno’s videos: “This is exactly the type of attitude that is really helping the migrants win the hearts and minds of New Yorkers to their cause,” he sarcastically quipped.
The TikToker, who lives in Columbus, Ohio, also encouraged his fanbase to “unite” and pay the fines of a 15-year-old migrant who allegedly shot a tourist in Times Square earlier this month.
In a clip that has since been seen over two million times, he said: “I invite you to look for [his] mother and all of us join to pay the bail, so that this young Venezuelan feels that you’re not alone in difficult times, but remembers that there is a God up there who sees.
“Today it could be him, tomorrow it could be you…He did something wrong, it’s okay.”

Moreno appears to be referring to Jesus Alejandro Rivas-Figueroa, a teenager who has been charged as an adult for attempted murder on February 8.
The comments section of the video showed a mixed response, with one user calling Moreno a “clown”, while another wrote, “He broke the law, and he should stay in jail or go back to his country.”
Earlier this month, a group of Venezuelan migrants allegedly attacked two New York Police Department (NYPD) officers in Times Square.
The seven-strong-member gang reportedly arrived in the city late last year. They have supposedly been living at city migrant shelters and have no work permits or known relatives in New York.
