NEWS: US DOJ’s Artie McConnell to speak at ‘European Anti-Financial Crime Summit 2024,’ it’s announced

U.S. Department of Justice’s Artie McConnell will be speaking at the ‘European Anti-Financial Crime Summit 2024’ in Dublin on May 16 next, it was announced today (Friday).
He is Assistant United States Attorney and the Deputy Chief of the National Security and Cybercrime Section at the United States Attorneys’ Offices Office for the Eastern District of New York.
In that capacity, he heads the Office’s sanctions and export control program, and is the Office liaison for the Department of Justice’s Task Force Kleptocapture and Disruptive Technology Strike Force.
Artie will be speaking about DOJ’s focus on national security and AML as well as the evolution of transnational partnerships in Europe and beyond.
Artie leads and overseas some of the most significant investigations and prosecutions involving transnational fraud, sanctions evasion, cybercrime and #terrorism.
Prior to joining the Department of Justice, Artie served as an Assistant District Attorney at the New York County District Attorney’s Office. He has tried more than 45 cases to verdict during his career as a prosecutor.
Artie earned his Juris Doctor from the The George Washington University Law School, where he won the award for Excellence in Pretrial and Trial Advocacy. He also holds a Masters of Arts in National Security Studies from the George Washington University.
Artie will be speaking at EAFCS2024 on May 16 and we are also delighted he will be participating at the invitational ‘PPPs in FinCrime and Asset Recovery’ Workshop being held on May 15.
