Kairi Sane departed WWE about two years ago and now she is set to return. Here are the latest details when the former champion will be back inside the ring.

Details On Kairi Sane Returning To WWE

WWE is all about opportunities and a former superstar is getting another chance. On Saturday night, PWInsider reported how Kairi Sane is returning to WWE.

Some thought she might appear at SummerSlam during Asuka’s triple threat match. Or, get involved in Iyo Sky successfully cashing-in her Money in the Bank contract. Although, neither of those events took place.

On the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer went over what led Sane to make a return to WWE and a possible return date.

“Maybe November,” said Meltzer. “She’s got two more dates in Japan I think that she’s scheduled for. She’s coming back.”

“As far as that goes, there is something to that because she left [WWE] because she wanted to return to Japan. And then, when her contract was up, she started working at STARDOM, and she was going to be the big international star.”

“New Japan was going to use her to come to the United States and things like that. I think what ended up happening was then they signed Mercedes [Mone] to kind of take that spot.”

Sane left WWE in July 2020 and would eventually accept an ambassador type role.

In WWE, she found a good amount of success in NXT and the main roster. After winning the Mae Young Classic Tournament and briefly NXT Women’s Championship, she was promoted.

Sane would then team with Asuka and be called The Kabuki Warriors and they won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

After departing WWE, on good terms, her biggest singles match was opposite Mercedes Mone. When Mone suffered an injury, that caused plenty of changes in the wrestling world.
