WWE SmackDown held a host of Money In The Bank qualifying matches as the two huge matches start to take shape.
On July 1 at The O2 in London, the men and women of WWE will compete in the high stakes Ladder Matches on UK soil for the first time ever and Damage CTRL duo Bayley and Iyo Sky have booked their ticket.
Despite recent tension between them, the two allies – whose partner Dakota Kai is currently out of action due an ACL injury – appeared to be on the same page as they both won their qualifiers on Friday night.
Bayley overcame ‘Michin’ Mia Yim in her match, while she later provided a distraction to help Iyo overcome Shotzi.
They will join the trio of Zelina Vega, Zoey Stark and Becky Lynch in the match, while one spot is still yet to be filled.
On the men’s side of things, SmackDown opened with a fantastic bout between Mustafa Ali and Santos Escobar, with the latter picking up the vital victory to secure his spot in the match.
He will be joined by Brawling Brutes star Butch as the man formerly known as Pete Dunne, who is from Birmingham, setting his sights on a dream homecoming of sorts at The O2.
The Bruiserweight beat Baron Corbin in his qualifier after a distraction from NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes and his ally Trick Williams.
It means Butch and Escobar will join Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura and fan favourite LA Knight in the high stakes match, which guarantees the winner a world championship match at any time of their choosing in the next 12 months.
As well as Money In The Bank at The O2, the previous night will see SmackDown itself air from the same venue live in a UK prime time slot for the first time ever.
WWE Money In The Bank airs July 1 at 8pm on the WWE Network and BT Sport Box Office.
