Gary played a pivotal role, personally overseeing over 30% of natural gas acquisitions for Western US and imported massive quantities of natural gas from Canada.
Later, Gary requested an assignment in Europe believing he could replicate the reformation of power and natural gas across Europe. He was entrusted with establishing the company’s European division, ultimately becoming one of the youngest-ever CEOs of a Fortune 50 company. Cardone worked closely with regulators, OFGEM, Ofgas and industry leaders to reshape, reform and restructure the manner in which energy traded in Europe.
After retiring back to the USA at 42 from the energy sector, Gary ventured into ecommerce. He quickly recognized a critical need among ecommerce sellers for support in managing online fraud and payment disputes. He found there is a tremendous amount of breakage and friction disguised as fraud, but are in fact symptoms of a broken payment system. In response, in 2011 Gary co-founded Chargebacks911®, launching the first-ever global brand dedicated to assisting online merchants and their banks in managing chargebacks, recovering revenue, and reducing risk.
