Trivia Night raising money for Scouts’ First World War tour in Europe

April 29 event at Westminster Presbyterian Church will support group’s trip to Vimy, Flanders Fields Museum and Passchendaele

The parents of the First Barrie Foresters Scout Troop will host a Trivia Night on April 29 at Westminster Presbyterian Church.

In addition to trivia, there will be a silent auction accessible online, raffle prizes, games, and a bake sale.

The cost is $20 per person or $100 for a table of six people.

This is a fundraiser for the Scouting Troops’ commemorative tour of First World War military sites with significance for Canadians in northern France and Belgium.

In August, members of the troop (ages nine to 17) will travel to Vimy, the Flanders Fields Museum in Ypres, the Newfoundland Memorial Park in Beaumont-Hamel, and the Passchendaele region. They also plan to participate in The Last Post at the Menin Gate.

The goal of this event is to raise at least $3,000 to help fund this historic tour.

Westminster Presbyterian Church is located in Barrie at 170 Steel St.
