GenoaBank to build, open new Fremont branch
GENOA – GenoaBank, a locally owned, independent, community bank, announced the construction of its new Fremont Branch.
This will be GenoaBank’s tenth full-service branch, on the corner of Wilson Avenue and West State Street in Fremont. The new facility is scheduled to open in late fall.
The new branch location will include three drive-up lanes, a drive-up ATM and will be a full-service banking facility with generous office space available to meet with customers and to accommodate their commercial lending, investment, and mortgage financing needs.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place in late fall of 2023.
Dusseau to lead BCS board in 2023
OAK HARBOR – The Benton-Carroll-Salem School District Board of Education met on Jan. 11 for its annual organizational meeting. During this meeting, Kim Dusseau was unanimously elected to serve as board president during the 2023 calendar year.
Board President Dusseau has nearly 20 years of service as a board member and serves on the District Academics and District Athletics Committee. Also, Jeff Dornbusch was unanimously elected as vice-president for 2023. Dornbusch serves on the District Policy Committee and District Communications Committee. Board members also set the fourth Tuesday at 4:45p.m. as the date and time of board meetings for the 2023 calendar year.
Keith Fleming’s work to be featured at Art Garage
PORT CLINTON – A local Port Clinton artist will be featured in a unique art show and fundraiser at Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council’s The Arts Garage (TAG) this February.
“Urban Folkart” by Keith Fleming will be the second gallery exhibit at TAG in 2023, showcasing Fleming’s colorful, one-of-a-kind pieces.
An opening reception will be held Feb. 11 at The Arts Garage. The reception will feature a silent auction, heavy hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, a 50/50 raffle, entertainment and more from 7 to 10 p.m. The event will be hosted by Keith and Jen Nickles.
All proceeds from Fleming’s art sales and other paid events of the evening will benefit the GPCAAC’s youth programming.
The Arts Garage is in the city’s old maintenance garage at 317 W. Perry St.
