Here are the average payments and paydays in July for SNAP
The United States Department of Agriculture revises the maximum payment amounts every year. In October, SNAP recipients will get either more money or a reduction.
This is because inflation may not always be high. For example, Food Stamp recipients in Hawaii did not get an increase in their benefits. In fact, they got less money. Few qualify for the maximum benefit amount, so what are the average payments?
SNAP average payments
The maximum SNAP amount for an individual is $291 in July 2024. However, the average check for one is just $202 claims the CBPP at https://www.cbpp.org/research/food-assistance/a-quick-guide-to-snap-eligibility-and-benefits. As you can see, there is a difference of about $89.
A family of four can receive from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program up to $943. On average, a 4-member family gets $713. Even if it is not the full payment, it is a considerable amount.

SNAP payments left in July
Although some States have already finished sending Food Stamps in July, others will continue through July 28. Each State sends money to EBT using different criteria. Some send it depending on the SSN, but others may use case numbers, last name first letter, and other various options.
